Cystic Fibrosis (CF) Parent Education

Family Education Day for Cystic Fibrosis

The University of Wisconsin Cystic Fibrosis Center and the University of Wisconsin Cystic Fibrosis Center presented the 2014 Family Education Day for Cystic Fibrosis.

This family education day provided education and information to empower families affected by CF. Scott Powers, PhD, ABPP from Cincinnati Children’s Hospital was the Keynote Speaker and presented, “Ways to help children with CF meet energy intake and growth goals: Skills for Parents”. Beth Sufian, JD presented, “Successful life with CF: How the law Can Help” . Additional presentations focused on research and drug development, infection control, transitioning from pediatric CF care, and an interactive panel of individuals with CF and parents of children with CF sharing their unique and valuable perspectives of living with, and integrating the challenges of CF into their lives.

North American Cystic Fibrosis Conference Webinars

The following webinar lectures are for families and persons who are affected by cystic fibrosis. The webinars consist of presentations given by health care providers from the UW Cystic Fibrosis Center who attend the annual North American Cystic Fibrosis Conference. Information is shared about recent advances in care, directions of research and knowledge about caring for persons with CF. We hope that this webinar assists families and patients to become more confident users of the health care system and be better able to partner with and interact with their health care team.
