Education & ExperienceMary graduated from the University of Wisconsin Medical School and completed her Pediatric residency and Pediatric Allergy and Pulmonary fellowship training at the University of Iowa Hospital and Clinics. Mary Marcus, MS, RD - Co-Director & NutritionPositionMary is the Co-Director of the Pediatric Pulmonary Center Training Grant and is a Clinical Nutritionist in the Pediatric Outpatient Clinics at the American Family Children's Hospital. Education & ExperienceMary has her BA in Biology from Ripon College and an MS Degree in Nutritional Sciences from the University of Wisconsin. Darci Pfeil, PNP - NursingPositionDarci is a Pediatric nurse practitioner specializing in the care of children with cystic fibrosis. She is a research nurse practitioner for the CF newborn screening study funded by the NIH. UW Cystic Fibrosis Center program and project development coordinator funded by the CFF. Member of the University of Wisconsin Pediatric Pulmonary Center specializing in transition of patients and families to adult care. Darci is also a Clinical Instructor for the University of Wisconsin-Madison School of Nursing. Education & ExperienceDarci received her undergraduate and graduate degrees at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. She is co-author of "Moving On", a booklet on transition from pediatric to adult care. In addition, she is co-author of an article on parents' perception of the newborn screening and education process. Candace Dreier, RRT - Respiratory Home CarePositionCandace is a registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) at the UW Health Home Care Services in the American Family Children's Hospital. She previously worked at the UW Hospital Pediatrics. In home care, her expertise is with children and adults requiring advanced respiratory home care. Education & ExperienceCandace attended the Respiratory Care Program in Appleton, WI. In addition to working with UW Home Care and serving as faculty for the Pediatric Pulmonary Center Training Grant, she works closely with the Emergency Medical Services for Children (EMSC) Program. Rhonda Yngsdal-Krenz, MBA, RRT - Respiratory CarePositionRhonda is a Respiratory Care Supervisor of American Family Children's Hospital. For the Pediatric Pulmonary Center Training Grant, she is the Respiratory Care Education Director. She is also the ECMO coordinator for the AFCH and is a member of the Pediatric Transport Team and serves on the Asthma Coalition of Wisconsin. Education & ExperienceRhonda obtained her Respiratory Care degree in Madison, WI and upon completion began working at the University of Wisconsin Hospital and Clinics. She is a registered Respiratory Therapist as well as a Neonatal Pediatric Specialist. Rhonda has continued with her education to obtain her MBA. Craig Becker, MSSW - Social WorkPositionCraig is a Senior Clinical Social Worker at the American Family Children's Hospital. He covers both in and out patient services for Children with Chronic Pulmonary Disease. He serves as the Social Work Education Director for the Pediatric Pulmonary Center Training Grant. Education & ExperienceCraig received his Master's degree in Social Work from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. Prior to joining the Pediatric Pulmonary Center in July of 1993, he worked in Chicago at a dialysis center. While there, he served a very diverse population and developed an interest in diversity, culture and resilience. He serves on the advisory board of the School of Public Health at the University of Illinois-Chicago. He is also a member of the Wisconsin Healthy and Ready to Work Transition Consortium. Rick Kittell, PharmD - PharmacyPositionRick is a Clinical Pharmacist at the American Family Children's Hospital. He works mostly with the inpatient population in the Children's Hospital. He serves as the Pharmacy Education Director for the Pediatric Pulmonary Center Training Grant. Education & ExperienceRick earned his PharmD from the University of Wisconsin Madison and works primarily with pediatric patients with chronic diseases ranging from Cystic Fibrosis, diabetes and renal disease. He has a BS in biochemistry and worked in the field of food pathogens for six years as an instructor in biomolecular chemistry and for six years at the UW School of Medicine and Public Health. Holly Gillette, MBA, RRT - CoordinatorPositionHolly is a program assistant with the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health. She provides program support to the University of Wisconsin Pediatric Pulmonary Center and Pediatric Pulmonary Fellowship, as well as clinical administrative support to the University of Wisconsin Pediatric Pulmonology Department. Education & ExperienceHolly received her Masters in Business Administration in 1993 and has been a Registered Respiratory Therapist and Certified Pulmonology Function Technologist working clinically for over twenty years.
