Lecture

         Changing
U.S. demographics have resulted in a significant population of first
generation immigrants who have limited proficiency in the English language.
Providing quality health care for this population presents unique challenges.
In this lecture, we will present information on federal and non-federal
regulations which address the needs of this population. We will also
discuss and provide examples of the effective use of interpreters in
          the health care setting.
